OHS Chorale Performs at State Convention

OHS Chorale Performs at State Convention

The Ozark High School Chorale performed at the 2017 Missouri Music Educators Convention (MMEA) in Osage Beach, MO on Friday, January 27, 2017.

The MMEA Convention is an annual meeting of music educators throughout the state and is filled with performances, workshops and clinics to help music teachers to improve their craft. MMEA also houses the Missouri All-State Band, Jazz Band, Orchestra and Choir.

The OHS Chorale was selected from 60 of the finest choirs in Missouri to perform a program for more than 750 parents, administrators and choral directors from across the state. The OHS program, entitled “One Voice,” included a variety of choral music from varying genres and time periods. The name of the program was taken from the final musical selection featuring the Reed Academy Singers and The Chapmans, a bluegrass band based in the Springfield area.

“This is one of the greatest honors a music ensemble can receive, and our students have worked diligently this year to prepare for their performance,” commented Amy Brammer, Ozark High School Director of Choirs.
